Description
These tender slow cooker baby back ribs are a must-try for any BBQ lover. The ribs are seasoned to perfection, cooked low and slow until they’re fall-off-the-bone tender, then finished under the broiler for a delicious caramelized crust. Ribs:
- 3–4 pounds baby back ribs
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
Additional:
- 1 cup barbecue sauce, plus extra for serving
Instructions
- Prepare Ribs: Remove membrane, cut into sections. Mix spices and rub on ribs.
- Cook in Slow Cooker: Place ribs, pour sauce, cook on low for 6–8 hours or high for 3–4 hours.
- Broil Ribs: Brush with sauce, broil for 3–5 minutes until caramelized.
- Serve: Enjoy with extra sauce on the side.
Notes
- For extra smoky flavor, add a teaspoon of liquid smoke to the slow cooker.
- Pair with coleslaw and cornbread for a complete meal.
