Description

Cool off with this refreshing homemade Strawberry Soda recipe. Made with fresh strawberries, a hint of lemon, and fizzy club soda, it’s the perfect summer drink to enjoy on a hot day.

For the Strawberry Syrup:

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and chopped
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup water

For Serving:

  • 1 cup club soda or sparkling water (chilled)
  • Ice for serving
  • Fresh mint and extra strawberries for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Strawberry Syrup: In a small saucepan, combine strawberries, sugar, lemon juice, and water. Cook over medium heat for 5–7 minutes until the strawberries break down and the mixture thickens slightly.
  2. Prepare the Syrup: Mash the strawberries gently with a spoon and let the syrup cool. Strain through a fine mesh sieve to remove the pulp, if desired.
  3. Assemble the Soda: Fill a glass with ice and add 2–3 tablespoons of the strawberry syrup. Top with chilled club soda and stir gently.
  4. Garnish and Serve: Garnish with fresh mint or sliced strawberries if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Adjust sweetness to taste by adding more or less sugar.
