- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Cheese Mixture:
- 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
- 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Pastry:
- 1 sheet puff pastry or 2 sheets phyllo dough, thawed
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Saute Onion and Spinach: Heat olive oil in a skillet. Cook onion until soft, then add garlic. Add spinach, season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Let cool slightly.
- Prepare Filling: In a bowl, mix ricotta, feta, Parmesan, and eggs. Stir in the spinach mixture.
- Assemble Pie: Roll out pastry into a dish, pour in filling, and fold or layer pastry. Brush with egg wash.
- Bake: Bake for 30–35 minutes until golden and set.
- Serve: Let cool slightly before slicing.
