Description

This Spinach Artichoke Dip Bread Ring is a delicious and visually appealing appetizer perfect for parties and gatherings. Creamy spinach artichoke dip is encircled by golden, buttery biscuit dough baked in a ring shape, making it easy to serve and enjoy. The combination of cheeses, artichokes, spinach, and herbs creates a flavorful, crowd-pleasing dish.

Ingredients

Scale

Dip Ingredients

  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 (14 oz) can artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
  • 1 cup frozen spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Bread Ring Ingredients

  • 2 (8 oz) cans refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare Pan: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a bundt pan or a large oven-safe skillet to prevent sticking.
  2. Mix Dip Ingredients: In a medium bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, artichoke hearts, spinach, mozzarella, Parmesan, garlic, salt, and pepper. Stir until the mixture is smooth and all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  3. Prepare Biscuit Dough: Separate the biscuit dough into individual biscuits, then cut each biscuit in half. Roll each half into a small ball to form uniform dough pieces.
  4. Arrange Dough in Pan: Place the dough balls around the outer edge of the greased bundt pan or skillet, forming a ring shape. Leave the center open for the dip filling.
  5. Add Spinach Artichoke Mixture: Spoon the prepared spinach artichoke dip mixture into the center space of the dough ring.
  6. Brush and Season Dough: Brush the dough balls evenly with melted butter. Sprinkle the dried Italian seasoning over the dough for added flavor.
  7. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the biscuit dough is golden brown and cooked through, and the dip is hot and bubbly.
  8. Cool and Serve: Remove from the oven and let the bread ring cool for 5 minutes before serving to allow the dip to set slightly.

Notes

  • For a spicier variation, use a blend of mozzarella and pepper jack cheeses.
  • You can prepare the dip mixture a day ahead and store it in the refrigerator, then assemble the bread ring just before baking.
  • Make sure to squeeze excess water from the thawed spinach to prevent a watery dip.
  • If you don’t have a bundt pan, a large oven-safe skillet or round baking dish works as well.
