Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare dry ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Cream butter and sugar: In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients: Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients in batches, mixing until a soft dough forms. Stir in the milk.
