Description

This Roasted Garlic and Herb Flatbread is a flavorful and easy-to-make bread that pairs well with soups, salads, or as a base for flatbread pizzas. The combination of roasted garlic, fresh herbs, and olive oil creates a delicious Mediterranean-inspired flatbread that is perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

Dough:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup warm water
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder

Herb Mix:

  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh rosemary or thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano

Additional:

  • 4 cloves roasted garlic (mashed)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dough: In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, and herbs. Add mashed roasted garlic and mix. Pour in warm water and olive oil, knead until a soft dough forms. Rest for 15–20 minutes.
  2. Shape and Cook: Divide dough into 4 pieces, roll each into thin ovals. Cook in a skillet with olive oil until golden brown and puffed, about 2–3 minutes per side.
  3. Serve: Enjoy warm, brushed with olive oil or sea salt.

Notes

  • Great as a side to soups and salads or as a base for flatbread pizzas.
  • To roast garlic, bake a whole bulb at 400°F (200°C) for 30–40 minutes wrapped in foil with a drizzle of olive oil.
