Peanut Butter Cheerio Bars Ingredients:
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar (optional for extra sweetness)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 cups plain Cheerios cereal
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips (optional)
- pinch of salt
Instructions
- Prepare Baking Dish: Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- Melt Ingredients: In a saucepan over medium heat, combine peanut butter, honey, and brown sugar. Stir until smooth and bubbling, about 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat, add vanilla and salt.
- Mix with Cereal: Pour warm peanut butter mix over Cheerios in a bowl. Stir until coated.
- Press into Dish: Firmly press mixture into prepared dish. Add chocolate chips on top if desired.
- Cool and Serve: Let bars cool at room temp for 1 hour or in the fridge for 30 minutes. Cut into bars and enjoy!
