Dough:
- 1 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup light brown sugar (packed)
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon (divided)
Filling and Topping:
- ¾ cup Nutella
- ¼ cup granulated sugar (for topping)
- nonstick cooking spray or butter for greasing skillet
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 10-inch cast iron skillet.
- Mix wet ingredients: In a bowl, whisk melted butter with sugars, then add eggs and vanilla.
- Combine dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking soda, salt, and 1½ teaspoons cinnamon.
- Form dough: Combine wet and dry ingredients to form dough.
- Layer the dough: Press half the dough into the skillet, spread Nutella, top with remaining dough.
- Add topping: Mix ½ teaspoon cinnamon with sugar, sprinkle on top.
- Bake: Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden.
- Cool and serve: Let it cool for 10 minutes before serving.
