Description

This No Bake Birthday Cake Delight is a fun, colorful, and easy-to-make dessert that combines a buttery golden Oreo crust with a creamy cream cheese layer and a light, fluffy pudding and cake mix topping. Perfect for parties or special occasions, it requires no baking and can be prepared ahead of time for a stress-free celebration treat.

Ingredients

Scale

Crust

  • 1 package (14 oz) golden Oreos, crushed
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

Cream Cheese Layer

  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping, thawed (divided)
  • 1/4 cup rainbow sprinkles

Pudding Layer

  • 1 package (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 1/2 cups cold milk
  • 1 cup dry funfetti or vanilla cake mix (heat-treated)
  • Remaining rainbow sprinkles for topping (about 1/4 cup)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Crust: In a medium bowl, combine the crushed golden Oreos with the melted butter until the crumbs are evenly coated. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9×9-inch pan to create an even crust. Place the pan in the freezer for 10 minutes to allow the crust to set firmly.
  2. Make the Cream Cheese Layer: In a large bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy. Gently fold in half of the whipped topping and 1/4 cup of the rainbow sprinkles. Spread this mixture evenly over the chilled crust layer.
  3. Prepare the Pudding Layer: In a separate bowl, whisk together the instant vanilla pudding mix, cold milk, and heat-treated dry funfetti or vanilla cake mix until smooth and slightly thickened, about 2 minutes. Let the mixture sit for 2 to 3 minutes to fully set, then spread it evenly over the cream cheese layer.
  4. Finish the Cake: Top the pudding layer with the remaining whipped topping, spreading it gently to cover. Finally, sprinkle the remaining rainbow sprinkles evenly over the top for a colorful finish.
  5. Chill and Serve: Cover the pan and refrigerate the cake for at least 4 hours or preferably overnight to allow the layers to fully set and flavors to meld. Slice into 9 squares and serve chilled for the best taste and texture.

Notes

  • Heat-treat the dry cake mix before using by microwaving it in a bowl for 1 to 2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds to ensure any bacteria is killed.
  • Customize the cake by using different colors of sprinkles or varying the cake mix flavors to suit holidays or special celebrations.
  • Make sure the cream cheese is softened to room temperature to ensure a smooth and creamy layer.
  • For best results, chill the cake overnight to allow it to firm up fully.
