Dough:
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream Butter and Sugars: In a large bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add Eggs and Vanilla: Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
- Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture until combined.
- Fold in Mix-Ins: Fold in chocolate chips and walnuts if using.
- Bake: Scoop dough into large balls and place on prepared baking sheets. Bake for 10–12 minutes until golden.
- Finish: Sprinkle with flaky sea salt if desired. Cool before serving.
