Coleslaw:
- 8 cups finely chopped green cabbage
- ¼ cup shredded carrot
- 2 tbsp minced onion
Dressing:
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- â…“ cup granulated sugar
- ¼ cup whole milk
- ¼ cup buttermilk
- 2 ½ tbsp lemon juice
- 1 ½ tbsp white vinegar
- ¼ tsp salt
- â…› tsp ground black pepper
Instructions
- Cut and Mix: In a large bowl, combine the cabbage, carrot, and onion.
- Make Dressing: In a separate medium bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sugar, milk, buttermilk, lemon juice, vinegar, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Combine: Pour the dressing over the cabbage mixture and stir well to coat evenly.
- Chill: Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to blend. Stir again before serving.
Notes
- For the classic KFC texture, chop the cabbage very finely.
