Ingredients
Scale
Filling:
- 8 ounces cream cheese (softened)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup cooked bacon (crumbled)
- 3–4 jalapeños (seeded and finely diced)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
Additional:
- 12 egg roll wrappers
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Optional ranch or chipotle sauce for dipping
Instructions
- Filling Preparation: In a medium bowl, mix the cream cheese, shredded cheddar, crumbled bacon, diced jalapeños, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Wrapping: Place an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface with one corner facing you. Spoon about 2 tablespoons of filling onto the center. Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then fold in the sides and roll tightly. Dab the top corner with water to seal. Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling.
- Frying: Heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil in a deep skillet or saucepan over medium heat (about 350°F/175°C). Fry egg rolls in batches for 2–3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain.
- Serving: Serve hot with ranch or chipotle dipping sauce, if desired.
Notes
- These can be assembled ahead of time and frozen before frying.
- For a lighter version, air fry at 375°F for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway through.
