Description

A delicious and hearty Italian Crescent Roll Sandwich Bake featuring layers of deli ham, salami, pepperoni, and provolone cheese encased in a buttery crescent roll crust with a seasoned egg mixture, baked until golden and perfect for an easy dinner or make-ahead meal.

Ingredients

Scale

Crust

  • 2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • Nonstick spray or butter (for greasing)

Fillings

  • 1/2 pound sliced deli ham
  • 1/2 pound sliced hard salami
  • 1/2 pound sliced pepperoni
  • 1/2 pound sliced provolone cheese

Egg Mixture

  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with nonstick spray or butter to prevent sticking.
  2. Form the Bottom Crust: Unroll one can of crescent roll dough and press it evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish, making sure to seal the seams to create a solid crust layer.
  3. Layer Meats and Cheese: Spread half of the sliced ham, salami, pepperoni, and provolone cheese evenly over the dough base.
  4. Mix Egg Filling: In a medium bowl, whisk together 4 eggs (reserve 1 tablespoon for brushing), grated Parmesan cheese, dried Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and ground black pepper until fully combined.
  5. Pour Egg Mixture: Pour half of this egg mixture evenly over the layered meats and cheese in the baking dish.
  6. Repeat Layers: Add the remaining deli meats and provolone cheese on top of the egg mixture, then pour the remaining egg mixture over these layers, spreading evenly.
  7. Add Top Crust: Unroll the second can of crescent roll dough and carefully place it over the filled layers, pressing the seams and edges firmly to seal the casserole.
  8. Brush and Bake: Use the reserved tablespoon of beaten egg to brush the top of the dough, giving it a nice golden finish once baked. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is cooked through.
  9. Cool and Serve: Remove from oven and let cool for about 10 minutes before slicing into squares. Serve warm or at room temperature.
