Ingredients
Scale
Beef and Sauce
- 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 3 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
Vegetables
- 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 carrot, julienned
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 green onions, chopped
Noodles and Garnish
- 8 oz noodles (rice noodles or egg noodles)
- Sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the Noodles: Prepare the noodles according to the package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside to keep warm.
- Heat the Sesame Oil: In a large skillet, heat the sesame oil over medium-high heat to prepare for cooking the beef.
- Cook the Beef: Add the thinly sliced beef sirloin to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned and cooked through.
- Sauté the Vegetables: Add the minced garlic, sliced red bell pepper, and julienned carrot to the skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes more until the vegetables soften slightly but retain some crunch.
- Add Sauces and Noodles: Stir in the hoisin sauce and soy sauce, then add the cooked noodles. Toss everything together until the noodles are well coated with the sauce and evenly mixed with the beef and vegetables.
- Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat, garnish with chopped green onions and optional sesame seeds, then serve warm immediately.
Notes
- You can substitute the sirloin with flank steak or ribeye for different textures.
- For spicier flavor, add a teaspoon of chili garlic sauce when tossing the noodles.
- Use gluten-free soy sauce if avoiding gluten.
- Leftovers can be refrigerated and reheated quickly in a skillet.
- Rice noodles create a lighter dish, while egg noodles add a richer texture.
