French Onion Soup Mixture:

- 1 cup beef broth
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 350°F and lightly grease an 8×8-inch baking dish.
- Combine ingredients: In the baking dish, combine rice, French onion soup, beef broth, black pepper, and garlic powder if using. Stir to combine.
- Add butter: Place slices of butter evenly over the top.
- Bake: Cover tightly with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil, stir the rice, then re-cover and bake for an additional 30 minutes, or until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed.
- Serve: If desired, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese before serving.
