  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast

  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt

For Brushing:

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dough: In a large mixing bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy. Add softened butter, egg, and salt, and stir to combine.
  2. Knead the Dough: Gradually mix in the flour until a soft dough forms. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  3. Rise the Dough: Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 1 to 1.5 hours or until doubled in size.
  4. Shape and Bake: Punch down the dough and divide into 12 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a smooth ball and place in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Cover and let rise for another 30–45 minutes until puffy. Preheat oven to 375°F. Bake rolls for 18–22 minutes or until golden brown.
  5. Finish: Brush the warm rolls with melted butter before serving.
