  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2/3 cup light corn syrup
  • 2/3 cup water

Additional Ingredients:

  • 1 packet unsweetened Kool-Aid mix (any flavor)
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • Lollipop sticks
  • Nonstick spray or parchment paper

Instructions

  1. Prepare Lollipop Sticks: Spray a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper and place the lollipop sticks spaced apart.
  2. Create Sugar Mixture: In a heavy saucepan, combine the sugar, corn syrup, and water. Stir until the sugar dissolves, then bring to a boil without stirring further. Continue boiling until the mixture reaches 300°F (hard-crack stage) on a candy thermometer.
  3. Add Flavor and Fizz: Remove from heat and carefully stir in the Kool-Aid powder until fully dissolved. Quickly stir in the baking soda; the mixture will bubble and foam, giving it a fizzy texture.
  4. Form Lollipops: Immediately spoon small pools of candy over the tops of the lollipop sticks on the prepared sheet, swirling slightly to form circles.
  5. Cool and Store: Allow to cool and harden completely before removing from the sheet. Store in an airtight container.
