- 1 large egg yolk

- 1/2 cup red and green holiday M&Ms
- 1/4 cup holiday sprinkles (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Prepare Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, beat the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until creamy. Add the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
- Combine and Fold In: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until combined. Fold in the chocolate chips, M&Ms, and sprinkles if using.
- Bake: Scoop the dough into rounded tablespoons and place on prepared baking sheets. Bake for 9–11 minutes until golden. Cool on a wire rack.
Notes
- For extra holiday flair, press a few M&Ms and sprinkles on top of the dough balls before baking.
