Tea Base
- 2 green tea bags
- 2 cups hot water
Flavor Enhancements
- 1 cup apple juice (preferably fresh or 100% pure)
- 1 tbsp honey (optional, for added sweetness)
Serving
- Ice cubes
- Apple slices for garnish (optional)
- Mint leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Steep the Tea: Bring 2 cups of water to a boil, then remove it from heat. Add the green tea bags and let them steep for 3 to 5 minutes, depending on your preferred strength.
- Cool the Tea: Remove the tea bags and allow the tea to cool to room temperature. To speed up this process, you can place the tea in the refrigerator.
- Mix Flavors: Once the tea has cooled, stir in the apple juice and honey if you want additional sweetness. Taste and adjust the sweetness by adding more honey if desired.
- Prepare to Serve: Fill your serving glasses with ice cubes, then pour the iced apple green tea over the ice to chill it further.
- Garnish and Enjoy: Add optional apple slices and mint leaves for a fresh, decorative touch. Serve immediately and enjoy your homemade iced apple green tea.
Notes
- You can substitute honey with agave syrup or sugar if preferred.
- Use freshly brewed apple juice for the best flavor and a natural sweetness.
- Adjust steeping time for lighter or stronger tea flavor.
- For a fizzy twist, add a splash of sparkling water before serving.
- Keep the tea refrigerated if not serving immediately to maintain freshness.
