Description

These Dynamite Shrimp are crispy, spicy, and utterly delicious. Coated in a flavorful batter and tossed in a creamy Sriracha mayo sauce, they make a perfect appetizer or main dish.

Ingredients

Scale

For the shrimp:

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Vegetable oil for frying

For the dynamite sauce:

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Sriracha
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar

Instructions

  1. Prepare the shrimp: In a medium bowl, combine buttermilk, cornstarch, flour, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Coat the shrimp in the batter.
  2. Fry the shrimp: Heat oil and fry the shrimp until golden and crispy.
  3. Make the dynamite sauce: Mix mayonnaise, Sriracha, honey, and rice vinegar.
  4. Toss shrimp in sauce: Coat the fried shrimp in the dynamite sauce.
  5. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, double-fry the shrimp.
  • You can adjust the spice level by adding more or less Sriracha.
