- 1 cup whole milk or half-and-half

Instructions
- Add Ingredients to Slow Cooker: Add chicken, wild rice, onion, carrots, celery, garlic, thyme, rosemary, salt, pepper, and chicken broth to a 6-quart slow cooker. Stir gently to combine.
- Cook: Cover and cook on low for 7–8 hours or on high for 4–5 hours, until the chicken is tender and the rice is cooked.
- Shred Chicken: Remove the chicken, shred with forks, and return to the pot.
- Prepare Creamy Mixture: In a saucepan, melt butter, whisk in flour, then slowly whisk in milk until thickened.
- Combine: Pour the creamy mixture into the soup, stir to combine, and let cook for another 10–15 minutes.
