Description

Indulge in a luxurious yet simple-to-make creamy steak pasta dinner that combines tender slices of sirloin steak with a luscious Parmesan cream sauce, served over perfectly cooked pasta.

Ingredients

Scale

Pasta:

  • 12 ounces fettuccine or penne

Steak:

  • 1 pound sirloin steak, thinly sliced

Other Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook Pasta: Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Sear Steak: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add seasoned steak and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. Sauté Vegetables: In the same skillet, sauté onion and mushrooms until softened, about 5 minutes. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  4. Make Sauce: Pour in beef broth and heavy cream, simmer for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened. Stir in Parmesan until melted.
  5. Combine: Return steak to skillet, add cooked pasta, toss to coat. Adjust seasoning. Garnish with parsley.

Notes

  • Consider using ribeye or New York strip steak for added tenderness.
  • Enhance with spinach or sun-dried tomatoes for extra flavor and color.
  • Leftovers reheat well with a splash of cream or broth.
