Ingredients
Scale
Cilantro-Lime Jalapeño Salsa:
- 2 cups fresh cilantro leaves, packed
- 2–3 jalapeños, stems removed (seeds removed for milder heat)
- 2 cloves garlic, peeled
- 1/4 cup fresh lime juice (about 2 limes)
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons water (as needed for thinning)
Instructions
- In a food processor or high-speed blender, combine the cilantro, jalapeños, garlic, lime juice, olive oil, cumin, and salt.
- Taste and adjust salt or lime juice as needed.
- Transfer to a jar or bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to let the flavors meld.
Blend until smooth, scraping down the sides as needed. If the salsa is too thick, add water 1 tablespoon at a time until your desired consistency is reached.
Notes
- For a creamier version, blend in half an avocado or a spoonful of Greek yogurt.
- Use this salsa as a dip, taco topper, or marinade for chicken and shrimp.
