Description

This rich and creamy Christmas Fudge is a perfect festive treat featuring smooth semisweet chocolate chips combined with sweetened condensed milk and butter. Topped with colorful sprinkles or crushed peppermint candies, it’s an easy no-bake dessert that captures the holiday spirit and makes a great gift or party addition.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 3 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Topping

  • 1/2 cup festive sprinkles or crushed peppermint candies

Instructions

  1. Prepare the pan: Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, ensuring to leave some overhang on the sides to easily lift the fudge after it sets.
  2. Melt ingredients: In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and unsalted butter. Stir constantly to prevent burning until the chocolate is fully melted and the mixture becomes smooth and shiny.
  3. Add flavorings: Remove the saucepan from heat and immediately stir in the vanilla extract and salt to infuse the fudge with depth of flavor.
  4. Pour into pan and top: Pour the smooth chocolate mixture evenly into the prepared pan, then use a spatula to smooth the top. Quickly sprinkle the festive sprinkles or crushed peppermint candies evenly across the surface and gently press them into the fudge to secure.
  5. Chill: Place the pan in the refrigerator and chill for at least 2 hours or until the fudge is firm and set.
  6. Cut and serve: Using the parchment paper overhang, lift the fudge from the pan and place it on a cutting board. Cut into 36 small squares and serve chilled or at room temperature.

Notes

  • For a variation, swirl in melted white chocolate before chilling or add chopped nuts like pecans or walnuts to the fudge mixture.
  • This fudge makes a wonderful holiday gift when packaged in decorative tins or boxes.
  • Store the fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks to maintain freshness.
