Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 425°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, garlic powder, and salt.
  3. Add Butter and Cheese: Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs, then stir in the cheddar cheese.
  4. Combine Wet Ingredients: Add the buttermilk and mix just until combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Bake: Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the baking sheet and bake for 12–15 minutes until golden brown.
