  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce (plus extra for drizzling)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into small pieces

Egg Wash and Topping:

  • 1 egg, beaten with 1 tablespoon water (for egg wash)
  • Coarse sugar for sprinkling (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Pie: Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Roll out one pie crust and fit it into a 9-inch pie plate.
  2. Make the Filling: Toss sliced apples with lemon juice. Add sugars, flour, spices, and caramel sauce. Pour into crust and dot with butter.
