Ingredients
Scale
Waffles
- 1 box (16.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ Delights Supreme Walnut Brownie Mix
- 3 eggs
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
Toppings
- Whipped cream topping (from aerosol can) or frozen (thawed) whipped topping
- Fresh strawberries, sliced
Instructions
- Prepare the waffle batter: Heat the waffle maker according to the manufacturer’s instructions. In a large bowl, whisk together the brownie mix, eggs, and vegetable oil just until the batter is smooth and well combined. Avoid overmixing to keep the texture fudgy.
- Cook the waffles: Lightly grease the waffle maker if it lacks a nonstick coating. Pour slightly less than 3/4 cup of batter onto the center of the hot waffle maker, spreading slightly if needed. Close the lid and bake for about 5 minutes or until the waffle is cooked through and the steam stops. Carefully remove the waffle and repeat with the remaining batter.
- Serve with toppings: Plate the warm brownie waffles and generously top with whipped cream and fresh sliced strawberries for a delightful contrast of flavors and textures. Serve immediately for the best experience.
Notes
- Make sure your waffle maker is preheated properly to get crispy edges.
- If your waffle maker doesn’t have a nonstick surface, lightly brush or spray with vegetable oil before each batch.
- Use fresh, ripe strawberries for the best flavor and sweetness.
- For an extra indulgent treat, drizzle with chocolate syrup or add a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
- Leftover waffles can be refrigerated and reheated in a toaster or oven for a quick snack.
