  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/3 cup mashed fresh strawberries
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 cups powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans or line with parchment paper.
  2. Mix the cake: In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, strawberry gelatin, mashed strawberries, eggs, oil, milk, sour cream, and vanilla. Beat for 2 minutes.
