  • pounds ripe cherry tomatoes, halved
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh basil leaves, julienned

Caprese Salad:

  • 1 pound fresh mozzarella, sliced or in small balls
  • Extra balsamic glaze for drizzling (optional)
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  2. Prepare tomatoes: Place halved cherry tomatoes on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic vinegar, sprinkle with salt and pepper. Toss to coat.
