Dry Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients:
- 2/3 cup whole milk
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Additional Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups peeled and diced apples (such as Honeycrisp or Granny Smith)
- Cooking spray or oil for greasing
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a muffin tin or use paper liners.
- Prepare the batter: In a large bowl, mix dry ingredients. In a separate bowl, whisk wet ingredients. Combine wet and dry ingredients, then fold in diced apples.
- Bake: Scoop batter into muffin cups and bake for 18–22 minutes until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool and glaze: Let fritters cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool. Optional: drizzle with glaze.
Notes
- For a simple glaze, mix 1/2 cup powdered sugar with 1–2 teaspoons milk and drizzle over cooled fritters.
