Description

These Baked Apple Fritters are a delightful treat perfect for breakfast or dessert. Made with diced apples and warm spices, these fluffy fritters are easy to make and even easier to enjoy.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients:

  • 2/3 cup whole milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Additional Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups peeled and diced apples (such as Honeycrisp or Granny Smith)
  • Cooking spray or oil for greasing

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a muffin tin or use paper liners.
  2. Prepare the batter: In a large bowl, mix dry ingredients. In a separate bowl, whisk wet ingredients. Combine wet and dry ingredients, then fold in diced apples.
  3. Bake: Scoop batter into muffin cups and bake for 18–22 minutes until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
  4. Cool and glaze: Let fritters cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool. Optional: drizzle with glaze.

Notes

  • For a simple glaze, mix 1/2 cup powdered sugar with 1–2 teaspoons milk and drizzle over cooled fritters.
