Avocado Jalapeño Dip:
- 2 ripe avocados (peeled and pitted)
- 1 jalapeño (seeded for mild, chopped)
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro leaves
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
- 1 clove garlic (minced)
- 1/4 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- In a food processor or blender, combine avocados, jalapeño, sour cream, cilantro, lime juice, garlic, cumin, salt, and pepper. Blend until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed.
- Taste and adjust seasoning as desired.
- Transfer to a serving bowl and chill for 10–15 minutes before serving.
- Serve with tortilla chips, fresh veggies, or use as a spread or taco topping.
Notes
- For extra heat, leave some or all jalapeño seeds.
- Add a splash of olive oil for a silkier texture or a few tablespoons of Greek yogurt to lighten it up.
- Best enjoyed the same day, but can be stored in an airtight container with plastic wrap pressed to the surface for up to 2 days.
