Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 350°F and prepare a 12-cup muffin tin with liners or grease.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Combine Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth. Add eggs, vanilla, apple butter, and sour cream, mixing well.
- Fold in Dry Ingredients: Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Fill Muffin Cups: Divide batter evenly among muffin cups, filling about 3/4 full. Top with coarse sugar or streusel if desired.
- Bake: Bake for 18–22 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool and Serve: Allow muffins to cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
